| Various - Laws of Motion | |||
| The Laws of Motion label is at the forefront
of the increasingly influential sound centered in West London. This compilation
culls some of their highlights for the first time on compact disc. As you may expect
from such a respected company, great time has been taken to showcase the diversity of
their roster while maintaining a certain quality standard. Neon Phusion's stellar
"How Times Fly" receives a subtle reworking courtesy of the Embassy crew. The
label's established "stars" (to the extent they have them) Modaji and Back 2
Earth are well represented, the former with his now classic "Outboard Jeopardy"
and the latter with their equally well-regarded "Motor Launch For Hire," a piece
of shuffling Latin jazz dance. Add in the anthemic "Armz R Deh" by
all-around talent Kaidi Tatham and you have a collection that is as well rounded as the
scene it represents.
