Part of RCA's soul stable with Evelyn King, Odyssey and Chocolate Milk, Michael Wycoff was a keyboardist whose entire career could have been lost to obscurity had it not been for the sampling prowess of Kay Gee, who looped "Looking Up To You" for Zhane's "Hey Mr. DJ." Now people have driven up the price of his records when they could be found for under $1 before 1993 and he's now a minor cult artist. Don't tell me artists don't benefit from sampling!
