Looking Up To You

Part of RCA's soul stable with Evelyn King, Odyssey and Chocolate Milk, Michael Wycoff was a keyboardist whose entire career could have been lost to obscurity had it not been for the sampling prowess of Kay Gee, who looped "Looking Up To You" for Zhane's "Hey Mr. DJ."  Now people have driven up the price of his records when they could be found for under $1 before 1993 and he's now a minor cult artist.  Don't tell me artists don't benefit from sampling!

Come To My World (RCA, 1980)

Love Conquers All (RCA, 1982)
Yes he had other albums but this is the one with the sample cut and if you owned any of his records before "Looking Up" became a collectable track you are either a member of his family or an obsessive soul collector.
