I Just Want To Love You

The secret weapon in Philadelphia International's success, the multi talented Wansel began as a member of the group Yellow Sunshine.  He wrote, produced, arranged, and played keys on various albums before recording his own Life On Mars in 1976.  The title tune is a spacey dance classic, "Prophet Named KG" is a breakbeat cut.   "The Sweetest Pain" is his other classic.  He stayed active on the Philly soul circuit through the 1980s, producing for the likes of Patti LaBelle and Jean Carne.

Dexter Wansel's Deepest Grooves

Life On Mars (Philly International, 1976)

What The World Is Coming To (Philly International, 1977)

Voyager (Philly International, 1978)

Time Is Slipping Away (Philly International, 1979)
"I'll Never Forget My Favorite Disco" is another perennial favorite on the rare disco scene.

Very Best Of Dexter Wansel (Recall, 2000)
More than the very best of, I believe this set contains all four LPs in their entirety.   Much value at a double disc price.
