Conceived by the production duo of Sylvester Levay and Michael Kunze, Silver Convention helped usher in the age of Eurodisco with their hits "Save Me" and "Fly Robin Fly." Vocal duties were handled by Ramona Wulf, Penny McLean and Linda Thompson, who chanted in unison rather than sang. Bouncy, breezy and slick, you could say they were what Chic would have sounded like had they been German and recorded in the early 70s instead of the late 70s. McLean departed for a career as a one-hit wonder with "Lady Bump" in 1976. The group recorded to ever-diminishing returns before breaking up around 1978.
