Rhythm Heritage was a faceless studio concoction put together by Michael Omartian and Steve Barri for the purpose of providing music for television shows.  The Los Angeles ensemble scored bit with the themes from S.W.A.T. and Baretta in 1975-76.  They expanded their
repertoire on subsequent albums but called it quits in 1979.

Rhythm Heritage's Deepest Grooves

Disco-fied (ABC, 1976)
Not a bad album if you can find it cheap.  The hit singles are here along with stormers like "Blockbuster."

Last Night on Earth (ABC, 1977)
Best remembered for the side-long extended suite of the title track, a rare instance of the band commenting on social issues.

Sky's the Limit (ABC, 1978)
