Walkman

One More Round

Kasso was the side project of Claudio Simonetti, who was a member of the band Goblin.   In stark contrast to Goblin's gig as composers of soundtracks (including the infamous Dawn Of The Dead), Kasso was breezy, quirky and aimed squarely at the dancefloor.  Kasso notched up the classic tunes "One More Round" and "Walkman" in 1981, setting up the release of a self-titled album that was a milestone in Italo dance and influential on the global dance scene.  A follow up album didn't fare as well and they disbanded after issuing the singles "Baby Doll" and "Running" in 1985.  Simonelli went on to do more composing work and is still active in Italy.
