One of the few slow jams to be released on Prelude was "You'll Never Know" from Hi Gloss. Like many of the label's acts, Hi Gloss was a studio conglomeration, organized by producer Giuliano Salerni. For the project, he assembled some of the top names on the session circuit, including Ullanda McCollough, Kae Williams, Jr. and Luther Vandross. Francois Kevorkian mixed the resulting album, which has been reissued on compact disc in recent years.
