Glenn Jones is one of many artists who had their first mainstream exposure via collaborations with Norman Connors, singing on the 1980 Take It To The Limit album.

Jones was able to parlay the success of singles like “Melancholy Fire” into a solo deal with RCA in 1983.  That year, he released the mini-lp Everybody Loves A Winner that included the very popular “I Am Somebody.”

Over the course of his RCA contact, Jones was a consistent presence on the charts thanks to tunes like “Bring Back Your Love” and “Show Me.”   His most popular single was 1987’s “We’ve Only Just Begun,” taken from his self-titled album and still in rotation on quiet storm radio.  While with Atlantic “Here I Go Again” was a surprise #1 record.
