Born in Jamaica but raised in Toronto, Barry was an actress ("Hair") and singer who enjoyed minor status in the 70s. She's remembered for the Eurodisco "Boogie Woogie Dancing Shoes" but an earlier record had a harder edge. Check her Sweet Dynamite LP for the title cut and "Dance Dance Dance," two stompers from the early days of Salsoul. She was last spotted recording for Epic in the late 80s.
