Click below for a Chakachas sample:

Jungle Fever

Fake funk straight outta Belgium.  Gaston Boogaerts was the alleged leader of the group, but investigation proved that Chakachas were a bunch of Belgian studio musicians looking to made some money on the side via outside work.  They hired a New York band, Barrio, to do live dates.

Chakachas' Deepest Grooves

Jungle Fever (Polydor, 1972)
The title groove is their only hit, reaching towards the top 10 in early '72.

Best Of (Wah Wah, 2000)
Seems like everybody is getting reissued these days.  Who can name another of their songs besides "Stories"?
