Obscure east coast funk group who recorded a series of albums on Atlantic in the early 70s. The members were Ray Thompson (sax), Esco Cromer (drums), Brad Owens (guitar, vocals), Rodney Edwards (trumpet), Ray Green (percussion), John Gray (keyboards) and Namon Jones (bass). Although they only had one charting single, "No Time To Burn," their albums have become collectables due to tough numbers like "Zimba Ku" and "Super Cool." Their horn-heavy, percussive ensemble sound has endeared them to funk fans and they are featured on a couple of compilations highlighting rare grooves on Atlantic Records.
