Music collective Bah Samba is a critically acclaimed outfit from the UK that makes house music with a latin edge. The group's original lineup featured vocalist Alice Russell, drummer Geoff Holroyd, keyboardist Julian Bendall, Kevin Alexandra, and Bebeto De Souza. After a tour, Alexandra left the band, Tristan Banks replaced Holroyd and Ed Meyer joined on bass. The current quartet is augmented by a revolving cast of session players. Their first single was "Carnival" in 1996, but most of the band's work has been released on Estereo Recordings. "Reach Inside" got them off to a very strong start on their new home, becoming one of the year's most-played anthems and a personal favorite of Dimitri From Paris, who included it on one of his mixed compilations. Recent years have seen them further developing their sound on the well-received "So Tired Of Waiting," "All I Ever Wanted," and "Tired Little One." Bah Samba's debut LP is scheduled for release in 2002.
